Educational workshop for the youngest (children over 4)
conducted by Katarzyna Gołębiowska and Agnieszka Wojciechowska-Sej, instead of Marta Wlazeł.
Who dream what? What dreams linger in memory? Which of them we wish to forget? The amazing world of dreams will be the key to interpreting paintings as artists are inspired as much by the world that surrounds them as by their internal worlds. Did Max Ernst dream about a strange forest? Did Witkacy dream about mysterious animals? Where did the strange railway station with a stationmaster on František Janoušek’s painting come from? Or what inspired the idea for Mariusz Kruk’s installation where a table stops being a table, chairs are not used for sitting on and tea cups float on garden poles?
A talk about dreams will also serve as an excuse to get to know a new artistic technique – dry pastel. Pastels allow to convey dream-like softness and can be smudged using blending stumps and so that they do not smudge endlessly – the effect is preserved with fixative.
The number of possible participants is limited, registration required. Applications can be placed by phone at 605 060 063, Monday to Friday 8.00 a.m. – 4 p.m. participation cost: 10 PLN.
