Educational workshop for the youngest (children over 4)

Sculpture is not only a classically defined mass: it is also an avant-garde construction. Each of the forms carries different meanings, different aesthetics, presents different creative possibilities. Both of them were created by Katarzyna Kobro. The icons of the former form are her plaster-made nudes: simple, tight architectural masses almost classically sensuous they convey extraordinary intimacy and softness of her artistic language forms. The symbol of the latter form are Kobro’s „spatial arrangements”: structures subject to the laws of continuous and homogenous space where each point has the same meaning as any other. The arrangements of colourful planes coexist with space thanks to the unified rhythm. During the workshop you can choose the form that seems closer to you, shape the mass of clay or plastic substances with the use of professional sculptor’s tools or design spatial constructions out of cardboard, paper planes and bows of wire. And then – change?
